Job description

The Platform Architect (Cloud & Data) will be responsible for defining and driving the architecture of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud and data platforms supporting enterprise and industrial SaaS solutions. This role focuses on long-term platform design, data architecture, integration patterns, and technology standards to enable reliable analytics, AI, and business applications.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Define and own the overall cloud and data platform architecture aligned with product roadmap and business goals
• Design scalable, secure, and high-availability cloud architectures to support multi-tenant SaaS platforms
• Architect data platforms supporting large-scale ingestion, storage, processing, and analytics of operational and time-series data
• Define reference architectures, design standards, and best practices for cloud, data, and integration layers
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, analytics, DevOps, and security teams to guide solution design
• Review and approve technical designs, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and non-functional requirements
• Design integration patterns for enterprise systems, APIs, data pipelines, and third-party platforms
• Ensure platform architectures meet performance, scalability, security, and compliance requirements
• Guide technology selection decisions, including cloud services, data stores, and analytics frameworks
• Support implementation teams with architectural guidance during complex customer deployments
• Identify and address technical risks, scalability bottlenecks, and architectural gaps proactively
• Drive platform evolution through continuous improvement, modernization, and adoption of emerging technologies
• Document architecture designs, decisions, and standards for internal alignment and governance

Technical Skills & Requirements

• Strong experience in designing cloud-native architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Deep understanding of data architectures, including data lakes, warehouses, and real-time data processing systems
• Experience working with large-scale data ingestion, ETL/ELT pipelines, and analytics platforms
• Knowledge of time-series data architectures and high-volume data processing patterns
• Experience with microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures
• Understanding of containerization, orchestration, and cloud infrastructure design principles
• Strong knowledge of security, identity, access control, and compliance considerations in cloud environments
• Experience reviewing and guiding technical designs across engineering teams

• Strong architectural thinking with ability to balance short-term delivery and long-term scalability
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
• Ability to influence and guide teams without direct authority
• Structured and detail-oriented approach to design, documentation, and governance
• Strong problem-solving mindset and risk-oriented thinking

Preferred / Good to Have

• Experience with industrial, energy, IoT, or analytics-driven platforms
• Exposure to AI/ML platform architecture and analytics workloads
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and secure-by-design principles
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale implementations and integrations
